I apologize for your experience today. I would be happy to set up an appointment for you, and you alone, to come in and speak with me about speakers for your vehicle. I can make sure we are the only ones in the store and I will have a mask on. Give me a call at 336-922-6070 if you would like to set up the appointment. Best Regards, Blake

I had intended to buy multiple sets of new speakers, but when the customer shows up wearing a mask, and the door says masks required, then the clerk should drag one out and put it on. After a minute talking with her I decided I couldn't stay. Setting aside the law, it's mostly just really bad customer service. I'm not going to spend 30 minutes shopping for speakers with someone not wearing a mask. I want to support a local business, but the chains at least have a mask policy.
We are sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience. We always stand behind our product and installations. I, as the owner, was not aware of your issue and would definitely have taken care of any issues you were having. We hope the new system meets your needs and wish you the best. Blake

Over priced, system buzzed and popped, was told not supposes to be that high. Was on 16-20. Had whole system redone somewhere else.
As the owner of theStereoShop I do not plan on "embellishing" a reply but I will respond to this review. Mr. Smith had his original appointment earlier in the week but he did not show up because "he forgot about it" so we fit him in as soon as possible in order to accommodate him. The technician pulled his car around and proceeded to check his right rear speaker and pulled out his radio to check that all of the product and wiring Mr. smith received from us was correct. Everything we had done was in fact correct and we discovered that there was a bad factory speaker wire in the car. We replaced the defective wire and ran a new one in the car. Because our technician was being thorough, and it is virtually impossible to know exactly how long troubleshooting a problem can take, appointments can take a little longer than we anticipate. This is especially true when the work we have done is not the problem and we have to figure out what the issue is, as was the case here. Because ours is a retail business we cannot control when customers come in and sometimes it is necessary for technicians to assist them. Mr. Smith was not charged for time that the technician was not working on his car. Yes, we did have other cars in the shop. They had scheduled appointments that day; some of which were dropped off to be worked on any time during business hours. Again, we brought in Mr. Smith's car to accommodate him as he "forgot" to show up for his original appointment. I am sorry that our credit card machine was unable to process your card. Since I have no control over the machine I will be sure to call the company and have it checked out. We have been in business for 22 years and work extremely hard to take care of our customers. I would have been happy to discuss any concerns Mr. Smith had with his experience and resolve this issue if he had contacted me in person, by phone or by email. Since he chose not to contact the business directly I was not given the opportunity to make any changes or adjustments in the charge. The only thing I can do with a negative review on social media is respond.

I had previously had work done at the store on a stereo and speakers. The products were under warranty. I came back to have them fixed. Turned out I had a speaker wire that was broken. I asked them how much it would cost to fix. They said it would be one hour of work which was $63. I agreed. However the exceeded the work time by a half hour. This wouldn't be that bad except the price difference. I had to pay $107 dollars with tax. I needed the work done, but had the given me an honest estimate about the time that it would have taken I would have told them to do it. They had been quite busy (working on 3 other cars to be exact), and the technician had to go to the front desk on several occasions. A $107 dollar repair for something I don't need right now was not what not what a college student needs. To top it all off, their card reader wouldn't accept my card, so I had to go across the street to withdraw some money (which worked just fine by the way). Based off the other reviews I read that other people have posted, it seems that they would fall in line into what I would expect, although I'm sure that the owner will reply to this and mention how it was "embellished the story to fit a negative review". I understand that things can take longer than they said they would. But given the fact that it's $63 an hour for labor, please be more exact. There's a big difference from $63 to $107 (tax included). If you had been honest and told me it would take that long, than I would have respectfully declined. If you are looking for parts for your car stereo, they will likely have it. However, with the variability of their labor estimates, I would look into doing the work yourself.
