This is by far the the worst car dealer experience I have ever had!! I looked at last years Honda HR-V online that they had listed for 18.5k. I called their internet sales department to find out the out the door price and confirmed that it was the listed price plus taxes (3%), tags ($89) and dealers fees. I asked the salesperson that was needed for them to hold the car for me to pick it up the following day and was told to leave a $500 deposit on credit card, which I proceeded to do. The following day the salesperson calls to make sure we are still scheduled for our appointment, which I confirm and ask about the possibility of starting on the paperwork and getting the car ready as I am over an hour away, which she says they are not able to do until I am physically onsite. Arrive onsite as scheduled, and I am directed to talk to another salesperson, which takes us for a test drive and upon returning, provides me a completely different quote (over $1600 more than discussed on the phone). I am told that their internet department is not aware of the options on the cars and this car comes included some dealer service warranty (which would go unused due to distance), security wheel lug nuts, mud flaps and trunk carpet for over $1600! I mention that I am not interested in any of these "factory" options, that they can take it off and sell the car as advertised and negotiated on the phone. At this point I am directed to the manager who arrives already with an attitude. I discuss the situation and he tells me that the options are listed on the window and that online, the fine prints say "May not represent actual vehicle. (Options, colors, trim and body style may vary)" and, therefore, this is not false advertising. This is completely bogus as I verified all the numbers over the phone before ever proceeding to the dealership. I tell him that I am not interested in the options and want to purchase the car at HIS listing price without the options and the manager says that that deal does not interest him and that he will not remove any of the add-on options. He then proceeds to tell me that he gets half his business from Raleigh and the other half from Greensboro, sales hundreds of cars a month using this tactic and does not need my business. Total bait and switch maneuver. Buyer beware! This dealership uses this tactic of FALSE DEALS and DISCOUNTS to lure remote people into their store then proceeds to add unnecessary options at insane prices to raise it back up. Furthermore, management is obviously aware of what they are doing so if you question it, they get annoyed and rude. UPDATE: Yes, Asheboro Honda is the correct dealer. Your General Manager, Ceaser, has already contacted me to follow up.

A total waste of time. We drove an hour here tonight after a long day at work to make a purchase on a new Honda CR-V. I spoke with Kesha in Internet Sales earlier in the day to confirm the sale price. She confirmed the price advertised and stated they could match my appraisal for trade in from a different Honda dealership. When I arrived, I asked for Kesha, but was passed off to a different salesperson. We made it very clear what our objective monthly payment was, and what we had priced elsewhere. Their initial offer came back more than what we had priced at another dealer despite the lower selling price advertised. Why? Because of $1600 of after market add-on features that they dont advertise online. When I had asked Kesha about add-ons by phone earlier that day, she had stated that if there were some, they could work with us on our trade-in value. WRONG. They didnt come down a dime and wouldnt remove the add-on features. Also, they refused to match the Honda Conquest rebate that was being offered by another Honda dealership stating that they only do it for certain brands which is completely different than what two prior Honda dealers had told us. They fully assumed that their deceptive online pricing worked on us because we had already driven an hour with the intentions of driving home in a new car. They assumed we would just do the deal, but were not that dumb. They even went as far as saying Well, wed hate to see you drive that truck all the way back home tonight. Well, you did see that old truck pull right on back out on the highway last night. Needless to say, the whole process was extremely disappointing and we will be going back to Flow Honda in Burlington who is much more transparent in their pricing and doesnt add extra after market items that buyers dont want but are forced to pay for. I can also guarantee that we wont make the mistake of driving to Asheboro Honda to do business with this group again. If I were you, Id go elsewhere. If you dont, dont trust their online pricing that they use as a gimmick to get you in the door, and be sure to look for sneaky add-ons that are completely unnecessary.
