4th time back for headliner leak, 2nd time back for trailer brake issue. I still havent received the invoice that wasnt closed when I picked my vehicle up after 2 weeks at the shop (I was told it would be emailed to me) A week into the service, I was told they were working on the A/C issue and they had to order a control module. When I finally came to pickup the truck, I was told that nothing was done to the A/C and they were unable to find a problem (I wouldve been glad to demonstrate the concern if they mentioned this to me during the 2 weeks it was there). It would seem that they finally diagnosed the source of the leaking headliner, having replaced or resealed the antenna 3X previously. On one follow-up call I was told they were waiting on the glass company to diagnose the window seal. I asked why they hadnt diagnosed the window themselves, and she corrected herself and said they were sure it was the window. After a week of no communication, I left a message for the service manager to call me. Instead, I received a call from a service writer within a couple hours, but never spoke to the service manager. Ive been a loyal GM/Gengras customer for all of my Chevy/GMC vehicles over the years. The level of service and only gotten worse with every visit. The current group of service writers range from outright rude to very polite, but all seem very inexperienced and poorly trained. This visit was the last straw and I scheduled my last oil service with Vernon Chevy. They were no better, having damaged my automatic running boards with the lift and over-inflating all 4 tires (53 psi instead of 36). I will most likely give them another shot for warranty repairs, but request a line tech over quick lube. I have a new Chevy pickup (2500 HD) that should arrive tomorrow via Vernon Chevy, since your sales dept. couldnt help me find a truck (which probably isnt their fault) As a side note, the automotive community is pretty small and reputation is everything. Ive spent a fair amount of time in the industry and business consulting in general. The Gengras brand isnt fairing well (reputation stinks) and I blame Chip and Jonathan, because reputation is a byproduct of the company culture and it begins and ends with them. Smoothest dealer transaction I have had. My Client Advisor was Michael Facey, he was very professional and knowledgeable. I walked in without an appt he took me out for the test drive and took the time to explained in detail about the vehicle, he was able to accommodate next day pickup of the vehicle. The website was up to date allowing me to find the car I wanted before going to the dealership. Melona the business Manager was also very pleasant to work with. I recently went in looking for a new 2017 Camaro. Bill Makos was definitely the right person to talk to. Worst car experience ever. I would not recommend this dealer. Took an extreme amount of time to even get in a vehicle. After telling them we only wanted to look at the truck and have an end price, they still went through the entire process. Continued to ask about leasing after we specifically said we were not interested, nor were we going to leave with the truck that night. 15 minute intro about how great their service is with a booklet. We asked for an appraisal while we were testing driving the truck and they made us do it when we got back. To us, it just seemed like any where else you go, they can get that done. They say they want to get it done in a timely manner but ask too many questions, fill out a sheet about what you want in a vehicle instead of just talking to us about it . After we say we have to leave, they say it 'will only be a couple more minutes' yet we were still there another 45 minutes. Ford across the street, we were in and out in 45 minutes. Just too much small talk going around in circles. We just wanted an in and out experience but that is not something you will get there!
