A woman backed into my car, so I was at the mercy of her insurance, which was GEICO and, in turn, Severn Auto Body. Dropping off my car was painless, but picking it up was a nightmare. The damage done by the woman had been fixed nicely, but there was NEW damage on the other side of my car. In essence, my car was wrecked while at the body shop. My muffler has a ding in it that suspiciously matches a hammer but, according to both the claims adjuster and Auto Body employee, is the result of a rusting muffler. And the rattling noise now coming from the muffler that wasn't there when I dropped it off? "It just happened to happen while it was here." There are fresh scratches across the left side of my bumper down to the metal, and the bumper is missing bolts. Neither the Auto Body employee nor the GEICO claims adjuster will take responsibility for the damage that was obviously created while under their care on their lot. I will never go back to Severn Auto Body. Not only was my vehicle returned to me in worse condition than when I dropped it off, but they would not take responsibility for their error, and treated me as though I knew nothing about vehicles, especially my own car. Update: after my poor review on facebook, they commented and said for me to bring my car in for the manager to take a look at. What a joke. He has no business being in management. He had no comment for some of our concerns and completely ignored others. It's an old, rusting vehicle. For 10 years old, the car is in excellent shape. But because I don't have a luxury car, and wasn't paying out of pocket, he didn't want to deal with me.
I used them because they were listed as a Geico Express Repair shop, and I regret selecting them without doing the research. I cannot complain about the actual work done because there were no issues; however, customer service from their receptionist is atrocious. There is a middle age lady who will talk everyone's ear off, get details wrong, and waste your time. She gets distracted super easily the point where you ask her to get the Geico representative, and instead of paging him over the speaker, she forgets because she was too busy talking about watching Full House the night before. There were also issues when I had to go pick up my car, and pay for my deductible so again, I don't ever want to come here ever again.
Got my car fixed here & was referred by Geico since they would be the ones covering my damage. My car looks great as if I just bought it. Avery was the one that helped me, he was very informative and helpful through the entire process. Front desk is very helpful & informative as well. My car was ready multiple days before the estimated date. This location is really convenient as well because the enterprise is right around the corner. Definitely recommend, won't regret it.
After running over an ice chunk in the road that did some under car damage and wheel damage, we took our car to Severn Auto Body to complete the insurance claim since they were an approved shop through Geico. They only fixed part of the problem, kept our car way longer than expected (2 weeks), and never communicated to us that our car was ready. When we did speak to someone we found out that they didn't fix the wheel which makes a cranky, jolt noise on turns. After speaking to our claims adjuster with Geico, we got special approval to take our care elsewhere to finish the work.
