Adding updates from my 12/27/21 yesterday service experience. First of all, I never requested for tyre rotation but I was charged. My wife picked the car she didn't know about it, when I looked at the receipt there is a tyre rotation. I had a issue with RCTA during reverse gear car stops beeps when a object is close by. I asked this to be checked and fix but they couldn't fix it and stated they don't have another vehicle to reproduce the problem. Spent 30-40 minutes in call nothing helped. Rather, they offered a solution take the car to another mazda service provider they may check and fix. If so, why I'm coming to you for the service? I had a 9AM appt and I went on time checked in smooth. I asked how long its going to take and I was told about an hour. Its almost 2 hours still waiting, folks came after me were getting the car back. So, I went and asked about the status, then after few minutes I was told another 30 minutes. The Representative was telling I can pull the car if you want without giving details what is done so far and what is pending, rather the tone is there after so many vehicles coming from different service center. I asked him In the beginning itself for the Time estimate and I was told wrong time. I had to wait for 2.5 hours with the COVID situation if I were told before would have taken different Approach rather waiting in the common waiting area with some many customers around.

I was quoted what sounded like a high price to have an apple car play upgrade on my Mazda. I went in anyway after they agreed to match a lower price that another dealer quoted. However, when I arrived they denied having ever agreed to do that price. I told them if they wouldn't do the price they agreed to over the phone, I would just leave, but they refused to give me my keys back at first. They completely wasted my time and were clearly hoping I would just let them rip me off. From other reviews on here, they definitely inflate the labor time as well as give people repairs they do not need when they think they are dealing with someone that isn't knowledgeable . I will definitely never use their service again. Go to Cary.

Lewis Blakey at Southern State Mazda and his sales manager Jermaine were fantastic to work with. They both handled my wifes concerns as well as mine very well. They both were very honest and upfront about all the costs that were associated with the CX-5 we purchased. We would continue to go back to them the next time we need to lease.

We began searching for a new SUV 2 months ago and reached out to all 3 Mazda dealers in the area. They all responded and we felt no pressure from any of them, definitely not what we're use to. However, Southern States was the only dealer that had a new Mazda CX-9 for us to test drive. They're very hard to find unless you speak to the right dealer apparently. Southern States was that dealer. They always had inventory when others did not. We had to delay our purchase by a couple months, but Shannon and Patrick (sales manager) were very understanding and patient with the unexpected delay. They kept checking in on occasion but I never felt like I was being pressured or nagged, they were simply keeping the contact going, whereas the other dealers didn't really do that. Two weeks before we planned on purchasing, I texted the sales manager Patrick exactly what we wanted. Within a day, he's sending me specs for the exact vehicle we requested and said it was arriving within a few days. So that weekend we got to see what would become our new CX-9, fresh off the truck and still covered in protective plastic. They worked with us, we put down a small deposit, and they held the vehicle for 2 weeks until our funds were available. 2 weeks!!! Now this may not seem like a big deal, but when cars are selling the same day they arrive, especially the CX-9 as we came to learn, I know they could have easily sold that right away. Yet they held it for us knowing we were good for our word and serious buyers. So yesterday we finally purchased our car. It was by far the easiest car buying experience and again, we never felt any pressure whatsoever. We haggled for 5 mins before agreeing on a cost that would work with our budget, we signed the paperwork easily and then we were given a thorough walk-thru of all the cool features of the car. They even helped us get our phones connected and showed us how to use the app. We left knowing so much more than our research and previous test driving experiences had taught us. Thank you to Shannon (our salesman), Patrick (sales manager), and Shaleace (our walk-through/setup rep) for making this such a great experience. We'll definitely be recommending Southern States Mazda to everyone.

Had an appointment for a recall. When we got there, an hour drive, they said they did not have the part! Finally, a gentleman went into the back and when he came back, he said they actually did have the part! The lady came into the waiting area trying to sell us other work, which is normal. However, she had a cabin filter in her hand that was filthy and full of leaves. My husband told her that the filter could not possibly be the one from our car, because it had been changed with our last oil change and we do not have trees near our home or work! Pretty disappointed that you need to be dishonest to try and sell work.
