Extremely disappointed. Put down a $500 fee to hold a car. Day I bought it (around October 19th, 2019) they gave the $500 back to me. Saw it went back in my bank account and thought nothing of it. Now come mid November, I get a $500 charge from them. So they didn't process the payments in the correct order AND THEY CHARGED ME THE HOLDING FEE 5 WEEKS AFTER I BOUGHT THE CAR.... Imagine if target processed your payment 5 weeks late? I left two voicemails and so far have been ignored.

I was told that all items on safety inspection were repaired and not to worry. Ended up purchasing vehicle and first night I took it home the shocks leaked a pile of oil on my driveway. Had trouble getting a hold of anyone to ask why the repair hadn't been done. Was told by an employee that that the repair was cheap, but they can't fix everything on used vehicles. 1500 dollar repair needed a day after spending a ton on a used vehicle. Really like Luther Brookdale Chevrolet but would avoid the used car lot. Salesman was super overworked which left me waiting a lot.

Bought a 2012 GMC Terrain in August 2020 for my son heading off to college in Grand Forks. The vehicle was clean and the body was in good shape. Report info about the vehicle indicated a rebuilt engine was put into it, along with brake pads, battery and misc. other items prior to putting up for sale. As soon as we drove off the lot, the check engine light came on. So we turned around and they indicated that they would have someone look at it at no charge but would need to leave the vehicle for a few days. The thought it was a just a sensor because of new engine and it needed to burn off. Son was heading to college in a couple of days, so couldn't leave it. Will have to bring back over break from college. We cleared the check engine light a few times, just for it to come back. Left the vehicle for at least 2 weeks over xmas break and did not hear a thing, so called them. Think they forgot about it but said that we are waiting on parts. I told them that we will need to take the vehicle back in few days as he heads back to college. A few days later, they said I could pick it up. A month later the rebuilt engine is shot and had to be towed. Shop where towed to in Grand Forks, says a new engine will be needed. Hauled vehicle back to the cities to have my neighbor look at it. Same opinion. Needs another engine. From what he was describing, it sounds like when rebuilt engine was put it, it was shotty workmanship that led to the engine's demise. Makes me wonder, when they had the vehicle for 3 weeks over xmas break, how could they not notice there was an issue. He only drove it 300 - 400 miles after that. We did not even put 3000 miles on since buying it. Talked to dealer to see if there was any such warranty on the engine itself since it was vehicle was sold "As-Is", not looking for labor, but was told that it was over 6 months on the engine. I have to wonder if taking the vehicle in over xmas break, if they either did not do anything to fix the original check engine problem or if they did do something, then they possibly made a worse issue. Regardless, I feel like we were screwed over on this car deal. So recommend that anyone reading this post, to beware and would probably be better off shopping elsewhere, to put it politely.
