I'm usually not the type to complain....Time wasters. Bought a car from this garage in October this year. Saw the car on autotrader and it looked like a brilliant buy. I then travelled up to see the car, the distance didn't bother me as my friend had bought a hyundai from the same franchise of garage and recommended it to me. The car was then delivered to me maybe 2 weeks after. I bought this car for my girlfriend and was very excited to give it to her! I pulled up and the brakes were squeeling rather loud and the clutch did not feel right. Imagine pulling up to present this as a gift and the brakes make it sound like I've basically bought her a bag of nails. I was ofcourse furious, called up the garage the same day I received it, and I stated 'take the car back I'm not happy with it'. Member of staff was not willing to take the car back even though I was willing to pay the money for it to be collected. The same member of staff then told me to go around garages and find out what the issues were and get quotes. So I spent my personal time driving round trying to get quotes like a idiot. To only find out that they were not willing to pay the cost of repairs and would need to take it back to rectify the issues. I offered to take the car to any garage of their choice and the two garages stated the same issue. They took the car away for two weeks and stated they had took it to a main dealer to check the clutch and there was no issues (which I have no proof of) but I was happy as long as it was thoroughly checked , I received it a few days ago, brakes still squeeling, basically looks like they've done nothing in the whole two weeks. I then called up and had the same member of staff to deal with, who was unhelpful yet again, and I ended up swearing due to being so fustrated (which I apologise for) but too be honest you can't help it sometimes when your so upset. I'm now stuck with a vehicle with squeeling brakes and I now don't know what to do. Because I don't trust the dealership and I don't want to waste my time anymore. I ideally want to take this further but I asked the same member of staff to give me contact details to make a complaint and sort this out... but he only give me the managers details which I had already dealt with. Too conclude avoid this dealership if your buying from a distance, because the after sales services once you have bought the car is dreadful. The staff even call you half an hour before they close so if u call back there not there.

I booked my car in for its first free check I was not able to get the check early to my purchase because of a family grievance. When booking my car I said to Richard it was due a first free check and fitting the gps unit that was not installed in the pdi. To get the Unit fit I was told I need to pay a 80 charge because I wanted to take the car early, I only wanted to take the car early as the response I received from the dealership was "well we don't know when the unit will come could be tomorrow or 2 months time" as I need the car for work I had to pick up my car with out the unit. But back to when I brought the car in for the first free check or what I was lead to believe was the first free check, we assessed the car for any damages and was told to sign a piece of paper saying we both look at the car, but what was covered was the charge for a first service on the car that was 200 that I later found on the collection of the car I had to pay. So in the middle of no where I had no way of getting home without paying this charge. I felt I was threaten and pressured I had to pay that charge on the spot so I could take my car go home. Unfortunately I only had the money to pay for the GPs unit to fitted to the car not the 200 for the service and not even the gps unit was fitted to the car as they was missing parts. In the end I managed to scrape out some money to make 127 so I had a discussion with the manger of the Mazda servicing garage to making a lower payment so I was able to get home that day. I feel tricked and like a fool that my time and money was made to look like a fool when "it was my fault not checking the small print" I was never told of this 200 charge for the service and still feel the money I have paid should be returned to me and not be charge for the fitting of the sat nav unit. I would like to speak the head of the chain about this issue as no customer should feel this way after coming out of any service or retail environment. I would very much want to be contact about this issue. I won't take this review down till my money is refunded back to me and my gps unit is fitted
