Avoid at all costs. Forrest Laundromat is nearby and superior in every way. I loaded two dryers at Colombia Pike Laundromat and went across the street for some food. When I returned, my clothes were gone. Turns out, they had been removed from the dryers by the woman who runs the place and replaced with the laundry of someone else. This is beyond the pale. Can you imagine turning your back for a few minutes and having your machines commandeered by the staff? I got my stuff back and dried it at Forrest.
Hi Christie. Thank you for your review and bringing this to our attention. Our website has been updated (in less than 24 hours) to make the 15 lb minimum more prominent to avoid further confusion. Please give Daniel a call at 703-544-7475 option 0 to discuss the details of this matter. Our deepest apologies for your initial experience.

The website for the wash and fold service does not mention the 15 lb minimum anywhere. My bath mats only weighed 7 pounds. While i was willing to pay 2x per lb what we paid in NYC, I'm not willing to pay 2x the advertized rate because of an arbitrary rule that isnt listed on the website.
Hi Candace. Welcome to Arlington!! Thanks for taking the time to write your review. This feedback is valuable to us as we are constantly looking for ways to improve our service offering. Our order minimums are in place because there is considerable effort needed to provide our service including rising labor, materials, utilities and the big onefuel costs . The QR code scan takes you to our website which mentions the minimum. We will however work with the app developer (and update our promo cards) to add verbiage about the minimum as this would make it clearer to potential customers. Again your input is so valuable and we are taking the necessary steps communicate better for future customers. Please let us know what we can do to win you back as a customer as you move to the area.

Bait and switch on pricing :-(. I was staying at a hotel and was given a 'scan code marketing sticker' from Columbia Pike Laundry that, when scanned, took me directly to Columbia Pike Laundry 'app'. I downloaded the app, which worked well, and registered for the service. I also had a $15 credit provided on that marketing piece scan code. I went through the process to have them pick up my (very small load) of laundry at the hotel. The app 'mostly' worked in that it got me to the right screens and showed a $1.95/lb. laundry fee and a $5.99 delivery fee. However, the order screen didn't work completely so the conversation moved to email format. Conversation went well and timely. the app was updated regularly with the status of the laundry. However, I never received a quote different from the $1.95/LB with a $6.95 delivery fee. I was 'notified' that was not, in fact, the charge - when my credit card alert went off for $20 for Columbia Pike Laundry. I emailed asking if the charge was really $35 ($15 credit + $20 credit card charged) for this one load of laundry. It was only 'then' I was informed there is a MINIMUM charge of $35 for delivery! This information was nowhere on the 'app' which is what the scan code took me to. it was nowhere in the charges / itemized quote nor was it provided in any email exchange. This lack of disclosure was not appreciated. Had I known I had to pay $35 for one, very small, load of laundry - we would have continued down the original path of hitting the laundromat ourselves. as we are moving to this community - it's a bummer that I will not use them again and feel the need to share with others.
