I originally purchased a vehicle from Columbus luxury cars in 2010. The owner was helpful and respectful, and the car was reliable, so of course, when I wanted to purchase a car recently, I went straight back. I have also recommended them to my friends for ten years. Unfortunately, I had the bad experience of dealing with a salesman named David this time. David wasted literally HOURS of my time. He claimed that he had many cars available to sell me, but in the end it was only a few, some of which were terribly mildewed and stained or filled with car parts. When I found one that was sufficient, we took it on a test drive, and I could hear that it clearly had engine problems. He offered to let the owner test drive it with me, and since the owner is a good man, he was honest and told me he would fix it before he sold it to me. When I asked for a time frame, he told me one-two weeks. While I was waiting, a pushy salesman named Chris called me, trying to pressure me to buy a car I had no interest in buying. When I told him I'm waiting on a certain car, he lied and claimed it was already fixed. I told him I would wait for the owner to call, but that didn't happen. When I called and spoke to my original salesman, David, the one who kept me there for hours feigning pleasantries, he told me he'd speak with the owner to find out what was going on, then he'd call me by the end of the day. No call. I called the owner shortly before they closed, and he told me in all honesty, he hadn't gotten around to fixing the car for me yet. He said he'd update me in a day or two. I waited over the weekend, and at the end of the day Monday, I called again to ask David what was going on with selling me that car. Suddenly he had no idea what he was doing. All he could do is make excuses that he didn't know what was going on. I asked why no one was calling me back. I asked if they just didn't want my business, and mentioned that if they didn't want to sell me a car, they could just tell me now and stop wasting my time. He raised his voice to me, and as I sat in silence, quietly appalled, he hung up the phone. I called back to speak to the owner, but David made sure to answer the phone this time, possibly to prevent me from speaking to his superior. I told him he was unprofessional and unnecessarily rude, and I would make sure to let the boss know that I will take my business elsewhere because of HIS behavior. So that's where I am at, and that's why I'm writing this review. I know Columbus luxury auto to be a reputable place with a selection of quality cars, and I hope they continue to treat other customers better than they treated me.
