So exited to open and setup Starlink. As soon as I opened the box it was clear that the dirty and dusty equipment was used and returned by someone else. Messaged customer service in the app no reply to help other than a generic response. Took 30 mins to connect and then wouldnt stay connected for more than 10-15 seconds before losing signal. Elon is my favorite person on the planet now but this product and service is not ready for market.

Starlink performance isn't living up to expectations despite ideal conditions. Frequent instability, dropouts and far lower than expected speeds. I'm hopeful that performance will improve as more satellites are deployed. Generally impressed by the fact that it exists at all but I feel like they should have remained in 'better than nothing beta' which would have caused me to wait a while longer before taking the plunge. Still far better than nothing but the rural, wireless ISP I had before was arguably more stable.

I think no one really works here. The company de facto blew off an important state hearing in Arizona to determine the future of broadband in the region and in the state -- and not one SpaceX phone I called, not government affairs or lobbyists or media, was answered. This isn't a company, it's a rolling concept that may or may not succeed. A shame.
