I appreciate the honest approach. Recently I was having some issues with my machine, which I built about 6 years ago with some of the nicer parts that I knew of at the time. In reality, I have been upgrading the same machine for more like 15 years now, but every single part has been changed out, so I am calling the machine new with a new motherboard/processor. I then used the older parts to build another computer for a friend. I am having some minor issues and thought that I would do a clean install to windows 11 and was astonished that my processor wasn't compatible and I could not do so. I am no longer really following hardware but I really like to have a good rig for the various multitasking, editing, modeling, gaming and just push the limits to what my computer will do. I entered the store to talk about maybe leaning in on his expertise to build me a nice machine and essentially he convinced me it isn't worth it to bother over something as silly as windows 11. As much as I like my computers the best of the best, he really made a valid convincing argument. When it really is time to upgrade, I will be paying a visit.

My wife's laptop was acting up and needed more than the basic diagnostics. My step-daughter couldn't even figure it out, and she is a computer whiz! We took the laptop in to Rick at RaM Online at 9 am for a free estimate on repairing it. He called around 11 am that day with his estimate ($80), which included repairing the problem, updating the software, and then verifying everything still worked. We picked the laptop up that afternoon and it was (almost) as good as new! So... Quick and knowledgeable repair which wasn't outrageously priced! It is also very nice to have it fixed at a locally-owned business!

Rick figure it out issue really fast (I installed processor that did not had on board video and I didn't realize that). He is knowledgeable and smart guy. I would definitely recommend going to him instead of going to geek squad.

Took in my aging Toshiba (that I LOVE) and he was able to save it for me! New charging port, tightened up some loose bolts, gave me tips on keeping this machine going for a bit longer, and sent me on my way. Quite happy with pricing, and love the personable service. highly recommend
