3 employees inside just standing behind the counter talking. Didn't even help us look for a SEGA Genesis game because they were too busy chatting away. We were the only customers in there. You have all day to talk about video games, at least help your customers!
This is Frank Jr, the owner here! I'm very sorry that she forgot about you. She was actually assisting the gentleman with the N64 at the time you asked for the memory card (_ checked out the video of the incident, because I take these things seriously and want to provide good service.) I spoke to her about this today and she was super upset about it, admitting to me that once she found out the other customer had a package that we sent that wasnt delivered, she panicked and tried to find his package and completely forgot about what she was previously doing. It wasn't done with intent to be rude, as we even made sure to go out of our way to say a heartfelt goodbye as you were leaving as you noted. She simply had something go out of her head as something came up, and I sincerely apologize for that. Hopefully you can find it in your heart to understand that we made a simple mistake and that you are very much still valued as a customer with us. If you could give us a call at 215-690-4371 I would be happy to get you a couple of memory cards that you were looking for ! We were simply slightly over stimulated at the time, as there were about 8 people in the store we were helping at the time. There was no malicious intent to not help you, we simply made a mistake and forgot something. Stopped in this evening to hopefully pick up a PS1 and PS2 memory card. Girl at desk asked if I was looking for anything in particular. Clearly said those two items. She spins the spinner on the counter, sees none, says Hang on and I will have a look. She never looked for memory cards. Decided to get involved with another customer claiming his order never arrived which the other employee in the store noticed was refused by sender. At this point, both he and the girl are attempting to get him an N64 that is in store asking him if he will take a green controller. Then there was something about him also needing a ColecoVision and now were cleaning up consoles and meanwhile Im waiting and browsing. Needless to say the employees never checked in with me again and at one point I was standing right at the counter looking in the case. I did get a Thanks for stopping in! as the door shut behind me. Thanks for driving an hour to your highly rated store to get ignored? Sure thing. Ive been all over the county buying retro. I spend a lot. I actually spent almost $200 here a couple months ago. Thats all I will ever spend here. Two stars because the selection is great. If its hard to get they probably have it. They also might not be interested in your patronage
Going in is like a blast to the past in the best possible way. The walls of classic retro video games takes me back to FuncoLand where I had spent hours of my youth. The staff was personable and friendly. I chatted with one employee about my Extra Life shirt I was wearing. I chatted with another about 3DO games. Employees were wearing masks which was a pleasant sight to see. Selection is huge with some pretty awesome titles. Definitely check it out if you're anywhere in the Philly area.
My name is Romeo and I myself own a video game store in Los Angeles, CA called LA Video Games and I must say as a collector and store owner. This video game store is amazing!! The staff was very friendly, with great customer service! The inventory was amazing, they had everything from cheap games to really high end. The style of the store was super beautiful with statues, store display signs, retro to modern games, etc. Even the store owner was super nice.
