OK, but nothing special. Went on a works Xmas meal - wouldn't be my first choice to eat here. They had a few vegan options on the menu, but unfortunately the cauliflower steak wasn't on the night I was there.
Thank you Patrick for your review. I However we did not remove all vegetarian options, we changed the the choices. Up to lockdown our menu changed seasonally including the vegetarian dishes. Since we reopened in March we have had to operate with a reduced menu because of restrictions and a reduced capacity, as well as staff shortages. This like so many others in the hospitality industry has an effect on how much stock we hold with a mind to reducing wastage. If you check the current menu which has been in effect since June you will see as well as a vegetarian burger with a choice of toppings we offer a Mixed Bean chilli with roasted sweet potato and mixed peppers, Mexican Totopos with a mild pico de gallo salsa. All going well once the restrictions are lifted we will return to our seasonal menus with a more varied choice for vegetarians and vegans as well as a greater selection for our meat eating customers.

I used to eat here (and at their other, now closed, branch) at least once a month. Unfortunately the ownership changed and the new owner removed the few vegetarian options from the menu, leaving a single burger - and that's it. I check their menu regularly but it doesn't change. Shame really as whilst I enjoy a steak or burger, my wife is vegetarian and always enjoyed the old choices - a single veggie burger means we aren't coming in. For a "metropolitan" area such as Edinburgh, it's surprising that you no longer want to give a choice to keep people coming back when they're not all meat eaters in the party - a bit like how many other restaurants offer a take it or leave it risotto for the vegetarian guest. Edinburgh is way behind other UK cities in this respect - going backwards even.
