Although I am always disappointed to see such a poor review thank you for taking the time to leave one. It is too bad the weather did not cooperate for your trip. Northern Arkansas weather is very unpredictable this time of year. I hope you will stay with us in the summer when it is peak season for activities or late October when the leaves change and the area is beautiful. Live bugs are a problem in the country setting and I continue to find ways to keep them outside! Hope to see you again soon.

We visited in mid-November and stayed in a cabin. It was clean and generally ok. The weather was unseasonably cold and the heat in the cabin was inadequate for those conditions. We also found live wasps in the windows. The area is really pretty.

Myself and 3other ladies reserved a cabin with dirst about 2 months ago. Was so looking forward to getting away. I called the office to confirm my reservation and also asked to leave the cabin unlocked since we were driving from Fayetteville after work and would be arriving after hrs. Was told this would be no problem . When we arrived, door was locked and office was closed. Had to wait on the owner to come let us in. The cabin was stuffy, musty, and the Tv was broken. Had to call the owner again to have her check the tv. Was told could have someone come fix the next morning., was not fixed until afternoon . Bad thing was it was raining and we basically had to sit inside. Fortunately the wifi worked. The cabin needs basic maintenance, seems neglected. Light above sink in kitchen didn't work, wires were hanging out of wall, definitely a fire hazard. Most disappointing was the owner really didn't make an effort to make it right. Charged full price for the shuttle service and wasn't very apologetic for the inconvenience. I picked this place because of the amenities that were offered. Disappointed, would not recommend

James, finally I have the rest of the story. Your group rented two boats and paid for four car shuttles from Rush to Riley's Landing. Dirst Canoe Rental provides car shuttle from Rush to Riley's landing for 85.00 plus tax as the standard price. Our company provides this service with licensed, insured and CDL drivers. We shuttled the other three cars in your group as scheduled. I personally walked every parking lot in the Rush area including the campground looking for the vehicle with the license plate you provided two days in a row. When your party arrived at Riley's Landing we finally had the correct plate number. We found and brought your vehicle to my office where it was secure. There was the license plate you had given me in the back seat which expired at the end of the month and a fictitious tag on the truck. At that point as far as I was concerned it was a stolen vehicle. I asked the Park Ranger for advice and he directed me that if stopped while driving a car with fictitious tags he would arrest the driver until things were figured out. You put us at risk for arrest and a permanent serious violation on someone's driving record. I sat patiently while your friends loaded your car to hear your story but you just drove off. The only contact I have had from your party is the woman who called me "from the interstate" who didn't want to talk about anything but a refund. Long story but I paid $91 dollars to have my car moved and when filling out the forms I was in a rush and made the mistake of putting down the wrong license plate. I was in a new truck I recently got and I had not put the tags from my previous car that I registered with my new vehicle on yet, the tags on it where left buy previous owner for some reason. The vehicle description was somehow left blank which you would think Dirst would double check the forms make sure they had the information they needed to move vehicle so people dont get stranded. But I was at fault I realize that for putting down wrong plate but what bothers me is The way Dirst handled the situation. They refused to refund my money after they did not move my car. They did not come get use and carpool us back to our car, thank goodness for some kind people on the river that helped us out and gave us a ride to our vehicle. Its just not how you treat customers I just think at least we should have got a partial refund. I was told the reason it cost $91 dollars was it took 2 people 3 hours to to move car from Rush to Riley. A total of 6 hours paid by Dirst is why is was $91 there is no way Dirst spent 6 hours looking for my vehicle and should at least give me partial refund. Just disappointed in the way dirst handled everything.
