I purchased my vehicle the end of July last year, and a BMW X1 had caught my eye after a month of searching for a new car. My last car was totaled in accident where I hydroplaned. Upon finalizing the purchase Josh and the sales manager at the time assured me that the tires were new, my car was also certified pre owned. I did tell them about my traumatic experience with my previous car and how important tires were to me and also because I have children. By September my tire pressure light was coming on, and I didn't think much of it. I just stopped and got air. But by December I took my car for a service, and I got a report from one of the advisors there saying all four tires needed to be replaced. So within 4-5 months I needed a set of new tires after it was said in august these tires were basically new. They gave me a copy of what a set of tires would be and it came up to like 1800.00. This is super distasteful after the traumatic experience I had last year

I had a great experience with the sales person...until all changed to a nightmare after meeting with Finance person who also now became a sales person for insurance and that to when i was going to get my keys and sign legal documentation. All details and down payments we were made over a month ago, this tragedy happened the before i was going to collect my car from SC manufacturing center. Finance person explained me that this is how business is done to keep the customer in darkness and especially those customer who are not taking loan from the dealer. My suggestion and advise customer must be given all information and all options before making the down payment for the car. If Finance person are used as sales person to sell insurance then consider to train them how to treat customers. I would be happy to share more in depths of my experience after i made the down payment, this should not happen to anyone any more...

Can't speak highly enough about Malcom at BMW of Southpoint. We were in Durham for a surgery at Duke and experienced car trouble. He worked us in to the schedule, diagnosed the problem and took care of it. We live three hours away but I'm strongly considering making BMW of Southpoint our dealer, for service and sales.

The work was excellent. Did everything they said they would do. Have had a number of BMW's that Hendrick personnel have worked on and everything has worked out well. Service adviser (Harold) keep me advised and cost was under original estimate.

Update 2022: I do not plan to use this dealership for service going forward. Over the past few years, I've had a handful of small repairs on 2 BMWs with recall, warranty, and other services. They all required multiple visits, with confusing and poor communication. The last straw was misdiagnosing an airbag light that I fixed for free at home. (I decided to try and fix since they wanted to charge me $1,200.) So it's just not worth my time anymore. It's too bad because they're conviently located near me. I'll drive many miles to get honest and thorough service... And get it done right the 1st time. I wrote my previous review because Hendrick offered a free gift card for a five-star review. I was also trying to put some positive karma into this relationship. What I wrote was true for that one experience. Original review pre COVID: I had a really straightforward repair request, just needed an alignment and state emission test. This is a 2009 328i, and I do most of the work myself. I replaced all the shocks and a speed sensor stopped working when I put it back together. I already had the appointment scheduled, so I went in with an ABS light on... I had never taken my car to this dealership, but they're just around the corner from me. I was concerned there would be a large amount of recommendations or major concerns. However, I was pleasantly surprised. They did a quick video overview telling me my car looked to be in great shape. Communication was fantastic throughout the process, the job got done quickly. They provided the before and after results of the alignment, all my paperwork was in order. The final price was exactly what they quoted me. Basically it was a perfect service experience. Josh Randle handled everything very professionally. I was really surprised because I don't think they see a lot of people like me that do most of their own work on their older car. I have bought parts separately for my 2010 X3, and have had great experiences there as well. I think it's kind of funny to walk in with dirty hands needing some bizarre nut or hose I broke during my installation of a starter or whatever. Everything is neat and clean and everybody's dressed nice. I have nice clothes and I could buy a new BMW, but I like the old ones. :) By the way, the new speed sensor fixed the abs issue.
