Hi Carole, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your recent experience. We understand it can be very frustrating to get stuck in unexpected traffic and then find out you need to reschedule your appointment because of how late the traffic made you. We try to accommodate our patients as best we can when they are running late and we are often able to still see them. In this case, we felt it would not be fair to the remaining 13 patients on the schedule to make them wait due to running so far behind by accommodating you. Part of our high level of customer service that our patients rave about is how little they have to wait because we are able to stay on schedule a vast majority of the time. As for the previous doctor not listening to your needs, Dr. Bodkin would be happy to review your husband's case with you over the phone to try and see where the issue may lie. You can give us a call anytime during business hours and he will be glad to chat.

We have been to this practice before and felt like we werent being heard. The physician was polite enough but didnt listen when we said the issue wasnt fixed. We had an appt (previous Dr left practice so we were anticipating a new fresh opinion) and were running late due to a massive car wreck. We were stopped for over an hour. We came 25 miles and were told that we would have to reschedule. No bending for uncontrollable issues. Not good customer service at all. We didnt. We will be changing from this practice for sure

We are so sorry to hear about your experience with our office and also thank you for taking the time to let us know. As you can tell from our other reviews, customer service is a high priority for us for our patients' total eye care experience. We will be investigating this breakdown further, but it appears our automated messaging was not being sent to you properly to get correct confirmations. Also, thank you for bringing to our attention your ability to schedule an online appointment while we were closed for a convention - that has shed light that our online scheduler has been erroneously showing a 7:00 and 7:30 AM appointment slot on Fridays even though we do not open until 8:00 AM. We have contacted out vendor to resolve this going forward. We posted our closing on our social channels, updated our office hours on Google, and sent an email blast to current patients prior to the conference to try and avoid situations like this. As for your second attempt, we apologize that we had 2 of our 7 employees call out sick that morning while a 3rd was already on vacation. As a result, we knew we could not provide proper customer service to our patients that day and had to make the difficult decision to reschedule patients. I can assure you your experience is a very uncommon one in our office and we appreciate you shedding light on these shortfalls so we can work with our technology partners to keep these from happening to someone else.

Absolute WORST customer service I have ever encountered. I will never go back here and I will be sure to tell my friends and family the same. I attempted to see them for an eye exam three times unsuccessfully. The first time I showed up for an appointment and their office wasnt even open. They were apparently closed for a convention but failed to tell me this. The second time they canceled my appointment very last minute due to insufficient staffing. The third time I showed up for my 3:15p appointment after receiving a telephone confirmation and an email confirmation. The staff member accused me of missing my 9:15am appointment that day and said she had other clients scheduled for 3:15pm. I pulled up my confirmation email with the 3:15pm appt time and she basically told me it wasnt legit and refused to accommodate me. She also refused to go speak with the eye doctor and see if there was anything they could do. I am appalled at how this situation was handled and am honestly not sure how they remain in business in Mount Pleasant with staff that treat clients this way. Id encourage anyone to seek vision care elsewhere. I am in the medical profession and I would never treat a patient this way.

We are sorry to hear you had a disappointing stop into our office, Ms. Toporek. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to take contact lenses back and then dispense them to another patient, even as a diagnostic lens, and the manufacturers won't take anything back that isn't in pristine condition. We agree that this is wasteful, but that is why we have partnered with a company that will recycle them for us. We have reminded the staff that we can still take boxes of contacts back to be recycled. We're not sure about the glasses adjustment. That didn't sound like how our optical staff handles a situation like that so we went back to our security footage so we would know who to give a training refresher to. You came in wearing sunglasses on top of your head but they never left the top of your head and you never pulled out another pair of glasses. So, it doesn't look like a glasses adjustment was ever presented to us. We will be glad to adjust your glasses for you and we always have patients try them back on to see if we need to make further adjustments.

Disappointed. Dr visits and care are wonderful, however went to have glasses adjusted and no one even tried on my face. In addition had package of unused unopened contacts to return. Unaccepted due to manufacturer, however, there is no reason why Dr cannot use for trials. Sadly disappointed, others practices are less expensive but initially thought worth it, lost patient today, goodwill would have gone a long way
