Nice selection of products, clean helpful shopping environment. However, they do not respect the Brookland neighborhood and place signs illegally on street lights and blocking sidewalks. Can not recommend supporting a business that does not respect the neighborhood within which it operates.

Hi, Corey! Can you tell us when this was, and confirm this was at the Brookland Annie's Ace? We are in Brookland and while we are limiting customers inside the store for safety, we can't remember a time recently when the wait was that long. Never been a fan of overpriced hardware stores like Ace but Annie's has been better than most for service, that is until today. Stood outside with 30 people for about 45 mi ites just to get into the store because they only had one cashier. Wouldn't really care that much except no one from the store would let us know why we were waiting so long..

If you want service knowledge and expertise go to Ace. If you want the run-around lack of information and poor service visit the big hardware stores.talk to Alex the store manager he is knowledgeable and Customer Centered. If he does not have what you're looking for he will find it.

Steven, I am really sorry for your screen debacle. We got backlogged because of issues around the lockdown and the virus, and even though we tried to keep up we ended up swamped and finally had to admit that we can't build screens on-site temporarily. We hope to be able to do that once things settle down and we have more time and people here to do it well. I am sorry you got caught on the wave's edge of us realizing that and sincerely apologize for your experience- these are crazy times for all of us.

I'm sorry I could not give it less then one star. I paid to have two screens built back in March. It's now May and they still have not been completed. I made a number of phone calls to the store over the course of a month and never got the same story as to why it was taking so long. I was given two different excuses from the same person during the same call. The folks I interacted seem to be less then competent and in my case certainly not truthful. My experience with Annie's Ace Hardware was miserable.
