I don't know how certain people like this food. It was absolutely awful!!! The Lomo stroganoff was vile. It looked like slops/mush with half a forest chucked on top! It tasted disgusting, like eating a plate of salt! Tried to fish around for the steak strips and found about four small strips. My wife had the steak skewers which was tough and once again extremely salty. She did speak to the waiter but he shrugged his shoulders. No apology, no offer of something else. Will definitely stay away from this restaurant. There are far better options at a far better price. Over 70 down the drain in our opinion!!! If I could put zero stars, I would. Worst meal I have ever eaten in my life.

Waited about normal time for the food, but the amount of time it took for them to clear the plates and to give the bill and come with the card reader was just too long.

I have been going to this restaurant for a few years now and the food is still excellent every time I go! The whole experience from when you walk in is just great, they make you feel so welcome and service is always really good. They can't do enough for you. They are also particular about cleanliness. The steak is good quality and well worth the money. My son is vegetarian and he loves it too as they cater for everyone. I took my family from South Africa there and coming from a country where they are used to good steak and service, they have not stopped talking about how good this restaurant is, they were so impressed! We are so fortunate to have this place in Musselburgh!

My wife and I visited for my birthday 29th Jan 2022 having read some good reviews. Let me start by saying the staff were very friendly and very good. We both ordered starters..my sausage starter was relatively good while my wifes vegetarian "empanada" had not quite been defrosted enough and was cold in the middle with hard mozzarella...disappointing start Our main course was T bone steak for me which was ok but lacked flavour and seasoning. My wife however ordered fillet steak medallions. At 26 she received a piece of steak that was so tough and chewy it was almost inedible. In fact she did not eat some of it and it as it was so tough..remember this was supposed to be fillet steak...again somewhat disappointing. The restaurant was very busy so I suppose in general the food must be good but for us on our first visit it was very disappointing. Maybe we were just unlucky but we spent roughly 100 for two on a very disappointing meal for two courses. We will definitely not be returning sadly as is it local to us.
