Overpriced. I have never had my insurance not cover a full exam. Yet, they didn't here. I paid over $200 out of pocket on the visit alone. They insisted I switch contact brands, even though I loved the brand I had. The brand they recommended I switch to tore very easily. I went through a 6 month supply in less than 2 months. I can't afford to pay full price for this brand for them to tear within one-two weeks. The only bright side was staff was friendly. Hence the 3 stars.
Appt at 10am. Doc came in the room at 1040 and was obviously rushed. Appt lasted all of 7 min and I left with a prescription that was less than what I came in with. When I asked the doctor she said it was the same. When they checked my glasses it was different. I asked another assistant to check again and she came back and said the same? Some discrepancies but I dont think they are that big of deal? Nor did they apparently. They didnt want to seem to get to the bottom of it so I left. Was there a total of 2 hours for 7 min of rushed work. Meh Front desk staff was trying to help.
This was my first visit. I felt very welcome and comfortable. Awesome equipment and I really enjoyed my visit. I found Dr. Mastories very knowledgeable and confident. She is the first female O.D. that I have ever had. She explained everything in detail. Fascinating. The office staff is knowledgeable, helpful, professional and personable. I would recommend this office to anyone. I can't wait for my new glasses.
I set my self up with an appointment after reading several great reviews on line. The location is great as it is very close to my office. The staff is amazing and very friendly. I felt welcome as soon as I walked through the door. I downloaded and printed out the new patient forms from their website and brought them with me so the usual paperwork and waiting time was nearly non-existant. I am highly impressed with all of the high quality testing equipment they have on hand. They explained everything to me as we moved from test to test and I truly felt I was receiving the best care possible. I was curious about contacts and decided to go that rought seeing how my wife just got some herself (from somewhere else). I was absolutley amazed that I was putting my very own contacts in within 30 minutes of waking into their office. My wife had to wait 2 weeks to get her trial pair. I don't remember her name, but the woman who helped me in the fitting process was great. She was very patient with me, gave me several tips and stayed with me the whole time. It took me maybe 15 minutes to get the process down and she even brought out the "Easy" button when I managed to get them in and out a couple times. It was a great atmosphere and I felt like she truly cared. Where as, when my wife finally got her trial pair it took 30 minutes just to get someone to help her. The lady that attended my wife at this other place kept getting frustrated when my wife couldn't get her contacts in. She also left us unattended several times to go answer phones and chat with her associates. Not only did this place treat my wife like just another number or some bum off the streets, they also messed up her prescription. It has been nearly a month now and they have switched her trial lenses 3 times with no luck. This place had the nerve to tell my wife that she just needs to wait and give it time and her eyes will adjust. They still have not completed my wife's order and have already billed our insurance in full. My experience with Central Phoenix Eye Care was so outstanding that I convinced my wife to cancel her order with this other place and I have made her an appointment with Central Phoenix Eye Care. Not just my wife though, I set an appointment for my 5yr old daughter too! Within minutes of setting up my wife's appointment I received a call from CPEC and was informed that they would contact our insurance company and do everything possible to get our money refunded from the place that treated my wife so poorly. So, would I recommend Central Phoenix Eye Care? ABSOLUTLEY!!! I wish all medical facilities could be like them.
The service here was nice, but if you choose not to purchase their glasses, things turn sour. My prescription form was not completed because I didn't want to purchase my glasses from their office. I understand that they are missing out on money, but I paid for an incomplete exam. I would keep that information to yourself until the very end of your visit.
