When customer service is poor but food is exquisite it leaves you as the guest in a tough position. I am big on customer service, respect and courtesy especially when dining out. Jessica the who worked front end last Saturday night was unfortunate for me and the restaurant which acquired this 1 star rating. She was rude, condescending, judgemental and actually quite nasty. She looked at me from head to toe (I was dressed casually) and her facial expression screamed it all There were a few male guests at the bar dressed in tux. However, i was taking out plus there was no dress code as friends of mine dined there with casual wear. Her attitude towards me reflected her facial expression. I would not tolerate nor should anyone disrespectful attitudes especially when not deserved. About the meal which due to her biased and unprofessional conduct spoiledmy appetite and I could not continuemy meal. I was so upset. However, from what I ate the mash potatoes were the best I ever tasted. The steak was medium well not medium as I requested but definitely OMG fantastic. The truffle fries we crispy on the outside and nice and warm on the inside. The food was definitely a 5star quality meal but the service stunk like a toilet sewer unattended for decades. It was sad as I work hard for a living, made many sacrifices in my life to be able to treat myself and this was so disgusting it will take a while to get forgive and forget.
We showed up, a group of 11, 30 minutes before close which could have been bad. We were welcomed with open arms at the entrance and things just got better. The food was amazing with plenty of gluten free options (I have celiac). Almost everyone had steak which was cooked to perfection. Sides were big enough to share. Gluten free cheese bread to start was amazing, and our server, Marco, took special care to mention it ( Pan de Bono) when he heard I was celiac. In fact, Marco helped us pick out different wine and beer when the bar was out of certain products, since it was just before closing. All together the service was A+ in my opinion. From the girl at reception to our meal experience to the food! Special mention to Marco who did not rush us and truly made us feel like our showing up so close to closing could have very well been the first group of the shift. While they have a variety of great cuisines and offerings, I was hankering for a burger when I was here. I can't remember the last time I had a Bison Burger naturally I had to order it. The meat was perfectly moist and full of flavor. The seasoning was subtle and just the right amount to really bring out the flavors. It is in a hotel so I never gave it a second glance. Don't let that fool you though. It's a big favorite of locals and the business class for happy hour. They won me over.
We went to Miami on vacation and were looking for halal steak. We found this restaurant and were excited to visit them. Because we had to travel over an hour to get there, We called TWICE to make sure that we didn't need reservations and to confirm halal status as well as closing times. Both times we were told that there was no need for reservations, the food was halal and that we would make it on time to be served. When we arrived we were greeted by Raz, who is supposedly the manager. What a rude man! He was so arrogant. He told us that we could not be seated because there was no seating available. We could only be seated at the bar. We are muslims and have children ranging from 1 year to 8 years old. The whole restaurant was empty and yet he refused to serve us. I would never recommend this to anyone! They need to fire the manager and find someone that has respect for their customers.
