Troy, I appreciate the comments on the food and beer. I'm sorry you felt the service was terrible. I did some digging and I actually overheard while you were placing your order with one of our staff. The staff member you spoke with told me you wanted him to wait on you at your table. We simply don't offer table service as he mentioned to you. I realize how you could assume that the method of ordering at the counter rather than being waited on at your table seemed foreign to you. It actually has nothing to do with Covid but rather the norm of brewery taprooms and the brewpub industry across this great country of ours including this one. There are very few exceptions of course but like I mentioned this is not one of them. We are a counter service only establishment like the majority of taprooms and brewpubs. I think you're going to find this really troubling to hear that the same counter service style of service is beginning to take hold in many restaurants as well. Quite a few of them actually in the St. Louis region. As far as the one employee who had a mask on that read "Science doesn't care what you believe" it has caused us to add masks to our uniform policy of only Heavy Riff attire allowed while on duty. While we don't necessarily agree with you that that message rises to be political in nature it does not conform to our policy of only Heavy Riff attire allowed while on duty. Beginning today we have added masks to that policy. Again, we are sorry you received lesser service than you were hoping for or you expected. Unfortunately we only offer that style of service. Best

Great beers. Good food. Terrible service. It seemed that they used COVID as an excuse for terrible (non-existent) service. If its not because of COVID, then its just terrible service for another reason. I wasnt impressed by the openly political clothing by staff/management. I recommend the beers, but not dining in.
Used to be a great place. Im not sure what happened but over the course of the pandemic the bartenders/serving crew became very rude and almost seem to be stuck up. There are far better breweries in the area that will actually treat you well. Dont waste your time here.
Oh dear Mr Jon read this: https://www.stlouis-mo.gov/government/departments/health/communicable-disease/covid-19/orders/health-commissioner-order-4-november-2021.cfm We are under a mask mandate. We don't give a damn about yours or anybody's political beliefs or affiliations. You clearly do. This business takes no political stances nor pushes any political ideology upon anybody else. Politicization has no place here. Sorry to disappoint you as you were clearly looking for that tree to climb. What facts you believe and where you chose to find and thus believe are your choice. They are beliefs and you are free to own them. Taking your beliefs out on someone else or some entity though is petty and really low. Especially when that other entity has made no open proclamation of belief or affiliation. This business does follow and comply with all mandates and directives of the local authorities (Mayor, Alderman and Alderwomen, Excise Commissioner, Health Commissioner and Director of Public Safety) We follow and trust what these authorities require us to do and do not put our personal beliefs above theirs. It is our belief that they are better trained than we to make the right policies based on the information they are privy to. We prefer to stay in business and not have our licenses rescinded for non-compliance as has been the case for some businesses in this city who failed to comply. Our covid policies which the city required us to develop and then submit to them before being allowed to reopen are followed religiously. We are as a matter of fact pushing those boundaries of our submitted plan by even allowing 7 people per table. The submitted plan is no more than four people. As a compromise we made the decision to allow more than the plan called for by allowing larger groups but only if they could verify if they were all vaccinated. This was done in a way to satisfy those who regulate us. It was given a green light. All restaurants and bars in this city have different policies by the City's design to police themselves but all are required to have masks worn anytime somebody is not seated. If you happen upon a place in this city that is not following the mandate they are at potential risk of having their business license suspended or revoked. Come on dude...stick to being a customer and respect others for what you don't really understand. "The more you know"

The beer is outstanding. They make a lot of different kinds of beers and they are surprisingly good at brewing many different types of beers (whereas most breweries really only excel at one style). The ambiance is less than welcoming, however, as they mandate you wear masks to enter (even though there is no government order to do so). It makes zero sense you're required to wear a mask for the three seconds it takes to find a seat, and then you're able to take off your mask for the entire time you're in the brewery. They also have goofy self mandated seating restrictions. Apparently they will only seat 7 people at one table unless you prove vaccination status. Because apparently covid doesn't exist if you keep group numbers under 7 people? Really?! And we all know that being vaccinated isn't a guarantee that someone doesn't have covid (and in fact, there are arguably more brew through cases than non break through cases). Have you actually thought through how ridiculous your logic is? I also find it very off-putting that a private business, that has never ever asked for any other vaccination status now starts to mandate one for covid, when survival rates for those under the age of 80, even when testing positive for covid (not to mention all of the people who are positive but never test), exceed 99.8%. Come on people... Stick to brewing and leave out the politics and non-sensical policies that have zero basis in logic.
