Had the fried griot special for $12. Came with griot, fried yucca, bannann peze and some pikliz Albeit, I'm not the most qualified to review Caribbean cuisine but I have ate a good amount of it. I usually travel to orlando/tampa/jax for haitian cuisine so I was excited to find a spot in gnv. The portions were very small in comparison to what I've gotten at other places for the price. The griot was dry and chewy, and had little to no fat. There also was no dipping sauce which I am used to having alongside. The peze was very salty and something about it just didnt taste right although I wasnt sure what. The yucca fries were also just okay. Overall I was disappointed although I will try again. Service was great though and their drinks were delicious!

Visiting family in Gainesville for a few days from Palm Beach and I wanted to support my Haitian community. I purchased 2 plates of Turkey (Tasso/koden), black rice ( Du riz Djon-Djon), 1 rasta pasta, fried plantains, and curry cabbage and to my demise everything in the plate was salty even the plantains. The rasta pasta was okay, The flavors are there, the customer service is there, the food has potentials, the vibe is there, but I could not even enjoy the food because of how salty it was, especially the Turkey. We do not like to waste food but had to throw $37 in the trash, I’m kinda sad cause I love me some Tasso Turkey too. I generally don’t leave reviews but this was a must, this is constructive criticism, I would love to see y’all grow and do wonderful things.

I just want to say thank you for the amazingly, delicious, mouthwatering food that you prepared. Our guests could not stop raving about how good the food was and wanting to know who prepared it.
