I wish I could give this venue a nice review, but unfortunately, the inflexibility and disappointing unprofessionalism my fiancee and I experienced from the venue coordinator, Natalie Stice, has steered us away. When we first met to see the space and discuss needs, Natalie assured us that customizing the event menu (since no outside caterers are permitted) wouldn’t be a problem, and mentioned that people frequently requested a specific recipe be used or asked the chef to copy a particular dish. We asked for a simple pasta meal and went over in detail how we wanted the food to taste. Natalie told us she’d send us a pricing proposal and we didn’t hear from her again for almost a week, after we had already emailed her to ask when we could expect to receive it. In our previous email conversations with her, she would take multiple business days to write a brief reply, even though we expressed to her our feelings of urgency. Yesterday, she called and gave a number of excuses as to why they ‘wouldn’t be a good fit for us’ because the chef couldn’t be ‘creative’ with what we wanted. She also said the chef ‘didn’t feel comfortable’ copying another chef—even though she’d confidently told us before that they regularly do that. If you don’t allow outside caterers, at least be willing to make what we want to eat! She also seemed to have an issue with the fact that we would have under 100 people in attendance, which wasn't one before. We’re in the middle of a pandemic, so yes, it SHOULD be small! She even made the excuse that the price margins wouldn’t be very good—it was explained to her that we would be happy to pay whatever rate it markup they charged, and wanted to do whatever was needed because the venue is so beautiful. However, we for sure got the impression that Natalie just didn’t care to put in the effort to make this "OUR" day.
