We had our sump pump fail and had several inches of water in our basement. ServPro came out several hours later than we were told they'd be there. We understood that because of all the rain we'd been getting. However, the person who showed up did not explain ANYTHING and just shoved forms at us saying to sign or they couldn't get started. No estimate was provided to us NOTHING. He got started and sucked up a little bit of water (most of it we had already sucked up ourselves with ShopVacs) and brought in the blowers. He came back the next day and said it they would need to be in the house to check things out daily. We told them we could not be here everyday for them to check and gave them our garage code with the understanding that they call EVERYDAY to let us know when they would be in the house. We NEVER received a phone call from them as to when they would be there. We had to call them to get updates. Then we come home one day all the baseboards are ripped off even baseboards that were NOT affected by the water and the carpet pad was gone. Again NO communication from them about any of this. Then when we called to get an update they stated they would be pulling the blowers out the next day. Came home to find trash left all over the basement, nothing put back where it was, cords to the TV were all unplugged from the TV and just thrown on the entertainment center. A week after they had left we get an email asking us to rate them. I emailed back and refused to fill out anything because according to their paperwork a manager was supposed to do a walk through to make sure everything was completed as expected. Finally Dustin called and said he could come out but instead of him coming out to make things right by us he brought and invoice and wanted payment that day. Absolutely ridiculous and extremely unprofessional. While Dustin was there we confronted them about the lack of communication to which he stated "we called and left you a message". We confronted them about this and even told them we'd be happy to pull our phone records to show there was NEVER a call or message left during the time frame they were claiming ! They quickly declined the offer. They knew they were lying! It's already frustrating and stressful enough going through the water in your basement with a 9 year old who doesn't understand why he can't sleep in his bed due to the damage only to be treated with absolute disrespect by this company! We will NEVER use them again and we would definitely not recommend them. Absolutely unprofessional and do not abide by their own contracts and forms.
