Hi Brendon, Im sorry to hear you had a bad experience. As you can see we mainly get 5 star ratings as customers satisfaction is extremely important to us. Ive checked the situation with our staff and the reason you had to wait was that we had another customer that had pre-booked the equipment. Unfortunately we have to give these customers priority over walk -ins. I noticed on your profile that you have only given 1 star reviews to all business you have reviewed, so Im a little suspicious of your motivations.. Awful -- cannot believe the experience. Shop owner extremely rude and disinterested. I was treated horribly and they wouldn't even rent to me. Seems pretty simple, you have a paying customer looking for a fun afternoon. I was stunned after reading all the positive reviews. Quite a 180 from that. I would never recommend this to anyone.
Hi Bifan, its Paul Nederhoed from The Zu Boardsports, Im the owner of the business. Carlos told me you are not happy with our communications. Thanks for your feedback. We try to get 100% satisfied customers. We recently changed from a retail store to kite school only. This means we have a lot less staff to answer calls and get back to customers. Carlos is our head instructor and also communicates with the customers. When the wind is good he will be on the water from 9.30-8.30 pm. He than has to get back to all customer enquiries after 9pm. This is not great and we have been working on making changes to our booking system and how we communicate with customers. This system will go live today. Unfortunately due to Covid it is also very hard to get any additional instructors so we can only run limited numbers atm. Hope this explains a little what we are trying to do. Anyway once again apologies for the lack of communication and we are making changes. We would like to offer you a free hour of instruction. Its extremely hard to communicate with them. I called them twice and received a message asking if I have enquiries. I replied and gave them my availability for them to ring. No ring, but also messages. So we spent over a week texting, while a 20mins call would do. Even though they replied messages every second day. The time of their reply can be midnight. When we finally reached a point we could arrange a payment, they eventually called. They just asked straight away if they can process the payment, ignoring my questions eg. what time of the day we usually go into the water so I can see if its possible I can juggle it with work on a weekday. In my message I also indicated Id be free after 4.30pm. But they just called, without checking time. To me, they dont care about their customers at all, seems theyre the only people whore busy in this world. Theres no chance theyre gonna call you unless to take money out from you. Not recommended only if they can improve their customer services and start caring about their customers.
I hadn't been kiting for quite some time (years) and went to The Zu for some refresher training. They got me up and running again in no time. All the Instructors are professional, friendly and very competent. Communication was excellent. Just leave a message or text, if Carlos is not immediately available, and he will call back as soon as he has finished teaching. Many thanks to all the team!!
