Our agency hired Duncan for our annual gala. His guidance and insights were invaluable to the entire event planning process, especially the silent and live auctions. Duncan came to play! This was our first charity fundraiser for The Childrens Heart Foundation New England Chapter, and we were learning as we went. I knew from being a past attendee at other events that there are certain key players that make the night special and successful. Well we found our key playerDuncan! He spent time with me before the event making sure the timeline ran smoothly, organizing how speakers should fit into the event and making sure we had the right auction items to achieve the greatest profit. During the event, Duncan worked closely with me and our volunteers to ensure that we were on schedule. He was able to read the audience amazingly, knowing when to move along with our planned activities as well as when it was time to engage the audience for a Call to Action appropriately adjusting the donations levels while reading the audience. He was honest from the beginning about what would be a reasonable achievement and then captured the audience so well we went above our fundraising goal by tens of thousands. His kind and lighthearted personality was the hit of the night. His presence on stage was beyond delightful and successful. Reflecting, on other auctioneers at other events, I can say without hesitation that Duncan was truly the best. I highly recommend him for your next eventI know we will always be calling on him for ours!
