Magnificent location, excellent food, super nice staff, BUT... Be aware: No mobile network signal (O2/giffgaff or whatever Verizon uses) inside the hotel. Also, the internal architecture of this hotel is confusing for everyone and challenging for those with mobility issues. The signage is lacking in hallways and in elevators, so you can run in circles. For example, our room had a spectacular view of Loch Lomond, but we had to zig-zag lots of corridors and take THREE lifts to get to the restaurant, which was effectively on the same level. Note to ladies, the shower has ONLY a rainshower head, no hand-held wand. Really surprised that they don't offer the option to not replace towels daily. Such a waste of resources and hurts the environment. Most hotels have a card in the bathroom to place only the towels you wish to replace on the floor/tub. These are the highlights of a list of things that don't match the high standards that the high price doesn't meet.
Lovely hotel in a great location. We arrived while they were handling a wedding and checking in two tour busses of customers, so our check-in service was a little shaky, but the rest of the stay was nice. Fabulous breakfasts!
