We've eaten at Micheline star restaurants before this is NOT Michelin quality food. I suggest you eat anywhere but Club Gascon. Mediocre food is a compliment. Don't waste 500 pounds on "okay" food!!

My boyfriend took me to the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary here💕. It was a great place! The decorations, music, and service are perfect. My first Michelin experience! Review for 4th May 2023. I haven’t been to Club Gascon for many years, though the standard of the service is still outstanding and the whole culinary experience was very special. I went for a 50th birthday celebration and we had a lovely time that will stay in our memories for a long time. The eight course tasting menu with wine pairings is special and I can’t wait to come again throughout the seasons.

My review would probably be 3.5 stars for this place. The presentation of the food is interesting but that’s where the creativity of the chef ends. The taste is rather unimpressive if not straight bland. It seems that the chef enjoys visual side of culinary way more than the gastronomical. It’s highly arguable whether this place deserves a Michelin star: after comparing it with NY Michelin-rated restaurants we concluded that Michelin is way less strict and more discretional in assessing and giving stars to European restaurants. Verdict: maybe interesting but i have no desire to return. Ps: service was a bit weird - the server didn’t offer to try the wine before serving it and went straight into pouring it into the glass. I reminded him about it and basically he shrugged and pretended that he heard nothing. The wine list and the wine quality were quite good though.
