I’m sorry for the confusion over the menu pricing. The prices you were mentioning are not comparing like for like - the £65 menu is for a 4course menu and the £95 menu is for a six course menu. The menu is designed around a ten course tasting but always wanting to accommodate smaller appetites we offer 6, 8 10 as options. I’m glad you generally thought the food to be a “good time” Issues like table placement just need to be mentioned early on and alternative tables can be proposed. very best wishes David

Disappointing for the price! When we booked a table, the weekday lunch menu was at £65. We went there, same menu but at £95! They have updated the prices for Christmas they said!! So when we booked they asked us to choose a menu for the booking and we had selected the £65 menu but they did not think to let us know that prices have magically increased! Not fair at all! We chose the 6 course menu! First surprise, the canapés represent one of the courses on the menu! The mini desserts at the end will be one a course as well! It' the first time I've seen this in a gourmet restaurant! And they don't serve butter with breds! So the 6-course menu is actually a hidden 4-course!! Big disappointment too as the remaining courses are only 4 small dishes, the main is as big as the starter! However, the food was good! We had the risotto as a starter which was delicious and very well presented! Finally, for the main, which was really small for a main, we had the seabass, which was excellent! Then, the cheese millefeuille was a real disappointment! The millefeuille was hard and dry and difficult to cut with a knife! Inside, there are coarsely cut pieces of cheese, meant to have truffle which we could not taste! The presentation of this dish did not look like a Michelin restaurant at all! For desert, the chocolate hazelnut mousse was excellent! The chef's knowledge of mousses is excellent, they were the best mousses I've ever had! The canapé with egg and feta was excellent too! And to finish, 3 mini desserts that count as a main course! So we ended up being hungry! This 6 course meal is clearly missing 1 main course! There was a big imbalance with 3 starters and 3 desserts! We had the impression that we were moving on to dessert very quickly! Overall, the food was very well presented, fine and good, the balance of tastes was there! But the portions were too small even for a Michelin star restaurant so it was too overpriced! It was a £70 menu, not £95! For £95 a dish was missing! I know much better places in the area with better menus for that price! In addition, the mocktails were really not at the level of the restaurant, so I would not recommend ordering them at all! So it was a good time but we won't be coming back because cooking is also about generosity and greed! This restaurant won't be one of our favourites in London at that price! But otherwise very friendly staff! And the room was ok; not a big fan of side by side sitting, I prefer face to face!
