Hi Amber, I'm truly sorry to read your feedback with your recent experience. I would love the opportunity to discuss so we can better understand if & how we have actually dropped the ball as I unfortunately can't see any records in our email or our chat solution in the records that come through to me where you have reached out to speak with us to express your disappointment. According to our records your first enquiry was on Thursday 18th via our Chatline at 2.20pm. Which all reads like it went very well. You and I then spoke the next day being Friday the 19th and briefly discussed possible options over the phone and that you were more than welcome to pop in and visit us and that if I'm not available as we are a small team and that I am often caught up with other functions in our business that one of the other team members would be happy to help. When you came through, Ally, was on a call with a client that started before you arrived, and as soon as it finished, Ally who also looks after our books came to speak with you in our reception/display area where you had been waiting. We have 10 books with different page and binding finishes for open viewing and perusal in our reception, and after talking to you briefly about what finish you were trying to achieve Ally went through 2 of the books that most closely matched the finish you were asking for, and walked through the differences between hard and soft cover books, as you had wanted to print inside the cover and this is not possible with our hard book production process. Ally mentioned that you also looked at the differences / benefits of uncoated vs coated paper, and noted down the options that you would like quoted. I'm surprised at your as feedback as you make no mention what so ever as to your dissatisfaction with your meeting in your email to us that you sent at 3.24pm that afternoon after coming in. You actually indicated "If I could please have both the soft and hard cover quotes jotted down dropping in today, by Tuesday latest, this would be an enormous help in allowing me time to argue [reference: your team] over which way we should go and to allow time to have them printed :) Thanks so much for allowing me to pop in today and have a look," We were of the understanding that you were happy with your experience. One of our team has then replied at 4pm letting you know that we had received your email and would be back to you as soon as possible. I then personally replied at 5.13pm, apologising for the delay and that I had been caught up in production and would send through a quote Tuesday morning as you had requested. At 9.16am the next morning as promised I sent a quote, although I do apologise that I did not follow up to ensure that you received the quote. Although I didn't receive any response from you to my email or quote to indicate otherwise. I don't know how you and the team are fairing at the University where you work, as mentioned we're working with a reduced team as a result of the negative impact that Covid 19 has had unfortunately on our business and we're actually working a lot harder and longer hours to help us and our clients get through this challenge. We're more than happy to look into your feedback of the price discrepancy as this is the only reported case that I'm aware of, we are continually working on it to remove bugs with our software provider PrintIQ who I know would be equally happy to help us look into this. I'm not sure if the misunderstanding is due to the quote I sent you, which had the Softcover and Hardcover options as you requested, in which the Softcover is around half the cost of the Hardcover option. Notwithstanding, were sorry that youre not happy with us as while we know we are not perfect, but what business is, we do like the opportunity to fix things when they go wrong and weve got a lot of extremely happy customers whom have worked 10+ years Wishing you good health and all the best. Kind Regards Tom

Please do not waste your time with this company. I am absolutely perplexed as to some of these other reviews. As someone who has dealt with printers for the last 10-11 years, trying to get a simple quote from this company was a disaster. Not only did they demonstrate poor customer service and constantly provide excused, but after spending 3 days on their website getting the instant quote for their book to test out the price with different GSM on pages, after I made the effort to drive an hour to see them and chase up the request for a quote for a fourth time, I went back on the website and the price for what I was wanting was completely doubled. It was almost as though they were stalling because they were updating the website. Don't bother with their online chat system - it's not local people and they say they will get back in touch with you, or send through a quote and don't. I spoke to someone online about three times and when I eventually called to speak to someone directly I got told "You got lost in the system..." Sure I did. I drove an HOUR away to go into the store and view some samples. The first lady that greeted me wasn't too bad, but I was left waiting in the foyer with no chair for over 10 minutes listening to staff members laugh and joke around upstairs. The guy who deals with the book quotes told me to call before I came by so he had time to prepare for my arrival - which I did, come in and discuss with him in person what I was needing. Did he come down to meet me? No. Instead I was greeted with a lady who seemed highly unenthusiastic, rude and wasn't interested in my business at all. She clearly just cares about churning jobs out for people who don't really understand the printing process. I got given a whole two samples to view - one soft cover, one hard cover and when I questioned what gsm was used in them, she wasn't able to give me a definite answer and sounded as though she was guessing. Most other printers will have multiple samples of different products to see the different things you can do with it. I then asked the quality of the hard cover binding and she looked disgusted with me for even asking the question. I'm sorry, but if I am going to invest a lot of money with hardcovers on a book - I want to know the quality I am getting is good and that there is quality control throughout the printing process. All the books I have seen from people posting on instagram were touch and go in terms of that aspect which is why I asked. She wrote down my details for a quote and once again I never got one and had yet another excuse because the book guy I was meant to meet was in meetings all day. How is this a same day printing service? You couldn't even get me a quote in the same day! Yes COVID has affected businesses, but if anything printing has slowed down and 5 days from my first online enquiry to finally getting a quote, is 100% unacceptable and I have no idea what you did with the website but its EXTREMELY strange to be getting the same online instant quote for 3 days through discussions with business partner and after multiple requests for a quote the site is suddenly doubling the quote for the same thing. What an absolute joke. These guys are a cheap quality printing service. If you want good quality and expect good quality customer service - don't even bother. What a complete and utter waste of my time, my fuel and energy. I managed to find a printer 15 mins away from my house with EXCELLENT customer service, the exact same price for the soft cover books and very high quality - and that is who I will be directing all future self publishing work to.

Good Morning Adrian, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you may not be happy with our advertisement however the advertisement you have unfortunately either not read fully or have chosen to misrepresent that we recently placed in SEEK was actually for a "Digital Press Operator and Finisher Assistant", with the key word in this case being "Assistant". Yes we opened the doors to find a passionate individual to join our growing team who wanted an opportunity to get into our industry. We are happy to report that we have found a person, who is now working alongside and taught by our experienced operators with a view to doing further industry training to develop their skills. As we trust you can appreciate everyone has to start somewhere and like many industries we do require and employ experienced and trained people, but equally we want to provide opportunities for those who don't have the necessary experience but want to get into our industry. Have a tip top day. Cheers Same Day Printing Team.

Saw an ad on Seek for Same Day Printing for a Digital Press operator aka printer. Key element of the ad was NO PRINTING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. SO if you want a print job print by someone with no experience this is your printer
