I left my crampons back home and rented a pair off these guys, well half way up left gully they consistently started to pop off and when further inspected the notch that held that in a size was worn out and wouldnt hold when pressure was applied. This was what it was mistakes happen though it was inconvenient to be halfway up 40 terrain with no crampons. What irritated me the most though is when i went to return them I didnt ask for my money back just if they money I hadnt spent could be applied to another purchase. The only purchase that this would be accepted for was a pair of crampons which I reiterated did nothing as I only rented them due to leaving my pair back home. They refused to allow me to put the money towards a helmet and put the exact crampons back on the shelf. Skip this store if your backcountry skiing just reach out to Ski The Whites instead... they have actual customer service and will take care of you the opposite of what I experienced at IME. Will never go here again.

Knowledgeable staff, small selection of new product, low selection of area relevant gear. If community grows they can expand. Hopeful to see shops like this grow in the future. My experience with the "good local kids" was also very subpar. Brady, an IME employee, on the other hand was very helpful. If you are looking for a quality growing community with bigger advanced terrain options look elsewhere.
